Chapter 4

The disembarkation was a slow, shuffling dance. They moved with the flow of humanity, their carry-ons bumping against their legs, the air thick with anticipation. The airport terminal, a cavernous space of gleaming floors and soaring ceilings, swallowed them whole. The familiar scent of Delhi—a heady mix of exhaust fumes, spices, and something indefinably urban—hit Vihaana, a comforting embrace.

“First things first,” Anvesha declared, her eyes scanning the departure boards. “Luggage.”
